Elizabeth Blau, b. 1981 Las Vegas, NV is a painter whose work has been exhibited in Los Angeles CA, Las Vegas NV, New York NY, Phoenix AZ and Philadelphia PA. She completed her MFA degree at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA (Painting & Drawing 2012) and her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from CalArts, California Institute of the Arts, (2004). Other studies include the University of New Mexico (Art & Ecology), Parsons School of Design (Fashion Design), Pasadena Art Center College of Design (Illustration), and University of Nevada Las Vegas, (Art Education). She has been awarded grants and fellowships from the Sam & Adele Golden Foundation in New York, the Nevada Arts Council, the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico, and the Galesburg Civic Arts Center in Illinois. Elizabeth has worked in arts administration for the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission and the Nevada Arts Council and has taught beginning and advanced painting in academic and private forums. Elizabeth works on an exhibition and commission basis.
